We seek to promote critical debate and the exchange of ideas without set outcomes
We are proud to be a part of the Oxford Cultural Anti-Racism Alliance and have signed the Manifesto for Radical Change
Equally, we feel responsible to contribute towards climate justice and a zero carbon future throughout our activities and are a signatory on the Green Arts Charter for Oxfordshire

I’m a local artist and a recent graduate of The Ruskin School of Art. Working across mediums, I often use a combination of photography, textiles, collage, sound and found objects to relay personal memories or to create alternative narratives. Recent work has been participatory in nature: allowing visitors to touch and move, contribute to, or pick up and listen to my artworks within an installation. I’m interested in visual languages which play on concepts such as repetition, tourism, time, place and intimacy.
It’s exciting to work with OVADA to think of unconventional ways to reach the local community through arts, events and workshops. I’m looking forward to meeting other emerging artists and learning from their collaborations with OVADA.

I am a Zimbabwean born, Aotearoa New Zealand raised artist and curator. A recent import to the UK; I'm passionate about contemporary art and community.
My art practice is often interactive and reframes everyday objects or actions with a sense of earnestness and absurdity. From creating burlesque and poetry events to hosting political potlucks and public kissing booths; I enjoy finding interesting ways to bring people together to form connections, conversations and critical engagement.
I'm excited to learn more about Oxford and engage with its diverse communities through OVADA.

I have enjoyed voluntary roles on the Boards of Art organisations since my student days at Goldsmiths when I was on the committee that set up the New Young Contemporaries putting on our first show at the Serpentine Gallery London. This involvement in supporting artists has continued ever since. Teaching and mentoring at all levels has enriched my understanding about the pathways that are open to practicing artists.
I have been involved in Ovada for many years having first got involved before it moved into the Warehouse. I am a practicing artist and regularly exhibit paintings and sculptures in various settings. My work is held in public collections.

I’ve worked as a curator for many years. Most recently I have been an adviser to the New Hall Collection of Women's Art in Cambridge. Before that I was at Manchester Art Galleries, responsible for the collections, exhibitions and education programmes.
I’ve lived in Oxford since 2017 and have discovered a love of making art myself through taking classes at OVADA.
When I’m not doing art-related stuff I’m mostly creating a garden and keeping on top of an allotment.

I'm an artist and advocate for community arts. Most recently I have been engaged with Oxford Windrush Group, organising and delivering workshops to celebrate and raise awareness of the Windrush Generation. My practice focuses on the complexities of identity in contemporary society, particularly from the perspective of being from a mixed background. I am fascinated by the interaction between art and developing technology, and the impact it can have across various art forms.
I'm elated to be joining OVADA and eager to work on innovative ways to engage the local community with the arts. I look forward to connecting with other artists and I'm intrigued to see the impact OVADA will have on their practice.anime and gaming enthusiast, coffee consumer and web3

As a Brazilian-British artist, architect and urban designer I divide my time between Oxford, England and Aberangell, Wales. My artistic expression is a playful exploration of materials, colours, and textures, unbound by expectations and inspired by my interactions with people and the environment.
My work often relates to the themes of place, nature, identity, and cross-cultural representations, seamlessly blending research and intuition. This approach mirrors my academic role at Oxford Brookes University, where I lead the BA programme in Urban Design, Planning, and Development.
