This is a fun, creative workshop, during which you will have plenty of time to try out the technique under the guidance of two expert printmakers. The workshop will take you step by step through; how to get to grips with a squeegee and to create a print using paper stencils and water-based inks. You will explore how to combine the paper stencils with Berkshire Printmakers large library of patterned screens to make complex multilayered prints. You will also learn the difference between optical and physical colour mixing with translucent colours and apply them to your printmaking. At the end of the workshop, you will have produced (more than) several prints, using at least two colours, and probably more.

In these workshops you will be shown basic hand-building techniques using slabs, pinching, moulding, coiling and using different textures as well as how to use glazes. Kashmira will lead the workshop in two sessions and you will experience the feel of ‘play with clay’, as she describes her ceramic art practice.
