A one-day, solo exhibition with over 20 new works by David Elliott, to accompany the Time and Place workshop.
The exhibition is a presentation of transmedial works including/embracing landscapes, abstracts, assemblage, transfer print and working sketchbooks. The works were completed recently as part David’s MA in Fine Art with Falmouth University.
Inspired by an archive of family photos dating back to the early 1900's, David visited locations along the North Yorkshire coast - collecting found objects, making sketches and journal entries. Returning to the studio, David then worked through a series of creative processes to form spontaneous poetry, affective mapping, assemblages, abstract and landscape drawing and painting.
It was while working on this project that David developed the creative methods he will be sharing through a workshop at OVADA on the same day.
