One World Family Festival at the Ashmolean


We are going to the Ashmolean!
Sunday 11 February
2-4pm

As part of the One World Festival, we have 2 free activities happening in the Headley Lecture Theatre (on the lower ground floor next to the cafe) - both are suitable for all ages and abilities

From 2-3pm
Join the team; Saroj Patel, Humera Iqbal, Laura Hope Lloyd and Mita Vaghela in a drop in block printing session where we will be printing on tote bags to take home with you

From 3-4pm
Join Garba Flow, a London based folk dance group, as they take you on a journey of Garba dance, showcased via a medley of different Gujarati song styles. Immerse yourself in a blend of traditional and contemporary Garba and Gujarati Folk dance performed by the most dedicated garba flow students & professionals. Co-founded by Parle Patel and Vibs Patel, join the team for an immersive workshop, freestyle Garba, and an introduction into what they are all about! You do not want to miss this! Get your glow on with Garba Flow!

*Note: Capacity will be limited due to the space. Visitors should go to the Welcome Desk to receive a free sticker for the event on a first-come, first-served basis
