Sunday 22 November, 12-6pm
Join artist Saad Qureshi as he opens up his studio at OVADA for the Christmas Light Festival. Qureshi will be working on new drawings as part of an Arts Council England funded Research and Development project. Drop in between 12-6pm to meet the artist and to take an exclusive look at Qureshi’s work in progress. His current body of artwork explores the portability of landscapes and the human mind as a vehicle that allows places to travel, to be carried in the memory from one location to another. Throughout December, Qureshi will further present his work in progress and new, large-scale pieces at OVADA – further details to be announced.
Since graduating from the Slade MFA in painting in 2010 Qureshi has exhibited widely both in the UK and internationally. Qureshi is represented by Gazelli Art House, London, and has recently been awarded his first major public art installation commissioned for NOVA – Victoria, London.
Supported by Arts Council England.
