7 – 22 May 2016
Finissage event: Friday 27 May, 6-9pm
COPY // PASTE is a practical exploration of DIY print and distribution methods organised by our resident art collective Click and Point. Take part in a variety of workshops and add to the growing exhibit of print and graphic based work at OVADA. The exhibition will evolve as visitors produce a wide range of artwork that will be displayed during Artweeks.
We are open throughout the first three weekends of May (12-6pm) with a variety of free activities and additional workshops led by visiting artists and collectives from across Oxfordshire. There will be a free collage ‘making station’ throughout – come to help build the exhibition alongside the classes and workshops.
We are also hosting special screenings of Made You Look throughout the exhibition. This new documentary profiles the current UK graphic arts and illustration industry via rare and candid interviews with top British creatives, publishers and agency owners. The film explores the prospering DIY scene and highlights the fact that more people than ever seem to be turning to analogue means of creating things, even though we are living at the height of the digital era.
Please see below for a full timetable of COPY // PASTE events. We look forward to welcoming you at the warehouse and seeing how you decide to shape this collaborative exhibition!
