This is the third year that OVADA has hosted the end of year show for the Warehouse Art School Continuing Practice Course. Students can attend the course for a flexible amount of years, but for many in the group this will be their leaving show.
It has been another busy year! A trip to Bristol, including a guided tour around the Spike Island Print studio, got the year off to a flying start. A varied series of Artists Talks put the working methods of practicing artists into focus, as well as giving insight and inspiration. This year collaborations with Partner organisations in Oxford proved to be very positive. The ‘leaving group’ organised and ran a highly successful event at Modern Art Oxford and a highlight of the year for the whole group was a pop up show at the Pitt Rivers Museum.
In this year’s show, Third Space, the students are exhibiting self-directed projects. They have followed their own interests while also responding to the size and nature of the OVADA Warehouse spaces. The work on show is diverse, both in process and outcome, and includes a range of subject matter and materials.
