We are delighted to showcase the amazing work produced by the participants and tutors of our Contemporary & Extended Painting courses!
The stereotype of a solitary artist in a garret has no place among artists who, despite lockdown, can be seen responding enthusiastically to the growing awareness of the importance of art practice as a means of actively and positively being in the present and giving generously to others. The online platform as a channel for sharing creative practice has come into its own, effectively connecting diverse individual artists’ studios and enabling artists to disseminate their work to a wide audience.
The Contemporary Painting studio courses at OVADA may have been cut short unexpectedly this year, but this has not prevented the students from maintaining their connection to painting practice, and providing digital images of their coursework to curators at OVADA for a vibrant online exhibition.
